Combined Knowledge of Industry and Research
EuroTooling 21 is an initiative for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). They represent about 40% of the project consortium and are directly involved in the decision making process. The consortium brings together partners from ten EU member states: SME tool manufacturing companies and their users, the OEM and 1st tier suppliers, bring empirical knowledge into the consortium by testing and validating the research results. The work of industrial associations and related research centres is driven by SME needs. They also disseminate knowledge to a large number of SME members. SME technology suppliers provide expertise for the Research Areas and play a lead role in the implementation of project results. The research institutes and universities are leaders in their own fields and provide complementary areas of expertise. They play a significant role in dissemination and training activities for SMEs and students alike.
